About Us

Workdrugfree Oregon is a statewide business initiative to substantially increase the number of drugfree workplaces in Oregon, improve the competitive advantage of Oregon employers and support a thriving economy. It was approved as an Oregon Business Plan initiative in January, 2006 as part of the Meet Targeted Workforce Needs of Industry initiative. Download OBP White Paper

The Workdrugfree Oregon Employer Task Group sets outcomes for and guides progress towards the Initiative's goals. It also is responsible for statewide employer surveys to measure progress, setting Initiative Partner criteria, approving Initiative Partner proposals, and representing the Initiative to interested groups.

Chambers of Commerce and other business groups have become vital partners in the Initiative by serving as the primary conduit for drugfree workplace awareness, education and training for local businesses by Oregon's foremost trainers and presenters. New Initiative Partner applications are invited by October 13, 2008. Download criteria

Barran Liebman Attorneys LLP has become a key partner, offering Substance Abuse Policy-Writing Workshops to employers statewide.  See Sample Language for Employer Substance Abuse Policies.

Liberty Northwest also has become a key partner by offering an Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace Premium Credit for Oregon Employers.
